Morning all,

Woohoo!! After 12 months I am finally discharged. Must say, it is wierd thinking it was 12 months ago when I went trembling to the court to submit my petition. But it was the best thing I have ever done after so much worrying and soul searching. I still have 2 and a bit years to go on my IPA, but at least I can say I am no longer bankrupt. I even got the courage to go and chat with some letting agents as I would like to move from my current accommodation and they were very accomodating (pardon the pun) when I explained I was a discharged bankrupt. There was no mention of 6 months deposit or a guarantor.
I just want to thank everyone on this site who has helped me through the past year and more. It would have been so much harder without the helpful advice people have given me. I am proud I have come out the other end and finally have a chance to start over. I know I haven't completely lost the shackles of bankruptcy, but I have reached an important milestone and I am now looking forward to the future for the first time in years.

Have a great day everyone!

Well done xmas baby. Being declared BR is a definite relief but it's also a great feeling once it is all over and you have been discharged.

Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurhman)
RevivaUK and Paul Johns helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!!
