Hi, i had so much help on here leading up to my BR and after but still have a couple of questions if you dont mind.
I sent off my I & E about six weeks ago following ED letter. havent heard anything yet either from OR or Moon Beever so assume IPA is staying the same. Whilst BR I have been able to save a bit of money mainly due to my husband paying for things like shopping. Will my bank account be checked and any excess money be taken? Also once I am discharged what happens about any extra money I may receive i.e. a bonus from work. I am currently sending Moon Beever my payslips monthly, will this carry on? the Inland Revenue put me on a NT code but only for 1 week, I rang them to make sure this was right and they said it was. Other people seem to be on it for the rest of the tax year.
Thanks again to you all, just a bit lost about the future and what I will have to declare and not declaire - sorry.

You are allowed to save money while you are BR however if the OR deems this excessive they will take it. Your guess as to what is considered an excessive amount is as good as mine. I don't think this option is used very often by the ORs probably as their is additional paperwork involved and the ORs don't really have time to check on these things.

Once you have been discharged you are allowed to keep any one-off payments such as bonuses, lottery wins, etc. even if your are paying an IPA.

I can't say why you would only have been on a NT code for 1 week as that really doesn't seem worth it unless you have changed your job since declaring BR? A NT code stops if you change employment so maybe this was why.

Have you checked with MoonBeever why they are asking for your payslips? If it is because of the NT code then it should stop at the end of the tax year. I can't see any other reason for them to want the payslips as your IPA hasn't changed.

You could just stop sending them the payslips at the end of the tax year and see if they contact you. Their not the best at communication so chances are they may not need the payslips any more but just not bothered to tell you.

Thanks for the help. No I didnt change my job I have been there 30 years. One week I received a notice of NT code and the next a notice of 647L which was my original. Moon Beever asked for slips until further notice and I think it was to do with the NT code. As you say they are not very good at communication, I havent had the last lot back yet and its been nearly a month.
Thanks again.
