I have an IVA that I have been paying for nearly a year - £207 a month. I want to retrain as a nurse so won't be able to afford it on my bursary. Should I go bankrupt instead of struggling to pay the IVA for the next 4 years? I have no assets, house and only a car worth £1,000.

hi and welcome to the forum
with no assets BR is a favourable prospect
realistically your credit file is already not good being on an IVA, you would clear your debts and if your Disposable Income DI is less than £100 a month you would not get an IPA Income Payment Agreement to contribute towards them.
can i suggest a chat with one of the forum's professional experts Paul Johns from RevivaUK www.revivauk.com or mel from jonesgiles www.jonesgiles.co.uk
they will both give free initial advice

RevivaUK and Paul Johns helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!!
