This question has probably been asked lots of times.I was wondering what is the order of events for going bankrupt, this is what i think i understand.

First you fill in the two forms and take them to the county court,do you need to make a appointment?
They say that you can be become bankrupt the same day?Is this right and then what happen???

I am a bit lost please help!!!!

Hi Taz

unfortauntly the process varies from court to court

the easiest option is ring the local court and find out the process

alternatly check the Reviva web site as they have some of the courts listed with current process http://www.revivauk.com/local-courts.aspx

or post your court here and see if any one else has attended.

the process should start about 3 - 4 months before you go BR you should start getting everything in order and presentable.

normally make an appointment some court are 9 weeks in arrears but some do walk in BR clinics

complete paperwork can be done online normally 3 copies but changes from court to court

normally BR same day but again varies

BR for a year

depends on income to wether you get income payment agreement (3 yrs)

very brief but hope this helps

regards Richard
