Thanks for answering my question about Provident.
Try this one..I took out 2 payday loans at the beginning of May with the intention to pay the interest back at the end of the month. Now I want to goBR will the OR see this in a bad light?

Hi again.
The OR must see people who have used credit cards and pay day loans etc in the last few months before going BR. I know I was using one credit card to draw cash to pay another and buying food and fuel etc on mine.
They look at the way the debt has built over time and yes if it has accumulated over years rather than months that is better.
If these small loans were used to survive day to day and not for luxuries (holidays that sort of thing) then it must be seen in a better light.
When the experts come on line they will give you their view - hang on there a bit longer!

Hi Winchester78,

I would advise you to try and make at least one payment on these loans before you go BR. If you do not, it COULD be constituted as fraud which is a criminal offence.

But I'm not making a payment because I'm using the money for my BR!
I have used both companies in the past and have repaid in full.
Does it make a difference that they are not like a convential loan company where you can payback over months or years.A payday loan is to be paid back plus interest in one go on payday!
Hope this makes a difference?

Hi Winchester78,

The safest route would be to wait until AFTER payday before declaring BR.

Hi Winchester78,

All unsecured debt will be wiped out in your BR (the only exception is student loans).
