If I file for bankrupcy will I still pay for old council tax bill? and will it afect my partner if we get married later this year

Hello Alan,

Welcome to the forum.

Are you intending to put your council tax into your BR as a creditor?

If only you are going BR, then it will not affect your partner - if you have joint debts and you put those into your BR, then as a joint and several liaibility, the creditor will claim from your partner and not you.
