Hi All, Well - i've finally made my decision after many sleepless nights and BR appears to be the best way forward towards getting my life back. I am feeling a bit more comfortable with it after speaking to McCambridge Duffy's Michael, Thanks for all your support.
My first of many questions i now have; Getting 2 valuations, is that enough? My mortgage is for 174,500 so whats a 'good' figure to come in with? My estate agents are willing to help with a letter, any advice? My daughter is willing to buy my BI to help me keep the house.
I am taking my papers up to the Court on 17th of June and I think i'm right in thinking once I pay my 2 fees I will get a date for my BR - is that right? I'm wading my way through the paperwork at the weekend.
My hubby (soon to be ex) still pays most of the bills and the mortgage so i can't declare that in my I&E so what do i say? Do i need to declare his income and just put down everything i actually pay for out of my salary? I am going to live in our house until i can get myself together and save enough to move out, that may take a while but we are getting along a lot better now and the fighting has stopped. We can talk about it now thank god.
That's prob enough for now, i will have loads more questions but i'll ask in little chunks as i go along. Thanks very much for your support.

ok, the house is worth what it is worth, there is no good figure. There is no need for valuations yet wait for the OR to ask you.
Have you got an appointment for the 17th, if not ring the court, most courts do the bankuptcy the same day as you pay your fees
On your forms you should have your income, your partners contribution, the WHOLE household joint expenses plus your own personal expenses.

Gosh, that was a quick reply.... I am in Northern Ireland, i think it's slightly different here. But I thought I need my valuations with me. I rang the court and I don't need an appointment to hand in my papers to OR and pay £345, he gives me a receipt and i take that to the High Court and pay another £115 and he gives me a date. Hopefully for a week later. Are you on the mainland? Does it differ. We think the house is now only worth £172,000 so hopefully this will be ok and I can save it.
