I'm currently filling in the forms for my Bankruptcy and have come across a little "issue" when listing all my creditors. I order goods from a catalogue through a friend, how would I declare this on my forms as I have no account number etc. Also I have informed my friend of my bankruptcy and they want to know what they have to do about it? Is it just a case of ringing them and letting them know?
sorry to be blunt on this, the debt with the catalogue firms i doubt is proovable and unlikely to be able to be included in your bankruptcy. Your friend will be liable for the debt..
have you taken advice from an expert to make certain that you have got all of your actions and plans in order ?
the best option is to plan and organise everything before going bankrupt not after submitting the paperwork to court
Richard P is correct, the catalogue debt is owed by your friend, not by you. Your debt is to your friend. The catalogue company will be able to puruse your friend for the balance owed.
