Hi all.,
Was made BR on 28th Sept 09 and got ED on 8 March 10. I am trying to clean up my credit report. I used Skippys template and sent a letter to one of my creditors who were on the SOA and they replied back stating that they have got in contact with the Credit Reference Agencies to clear them up. I tried to open a Natwest Step Account and they are stating that we have been declined????!!!! Yet I have an Isa and savings account with them, has anyone else had problems with Natwest, I told them about BR and ED

Thanks
Deb

Hi
Did you have debts with the RBS Group, I applied for the step account and the RBS Equivalent and both were declined as I had debts with the RBS Group which were included in the bankruptcy and they said that even though I was discharged and had ED, I would never be allowed an account with them

Nat Est are a funny lot!

I went BR 4 years ago OWING Nat West over £70k yet they let me open a Step Account as soon as I was discharged.

My wife also went BR 2 years ago yet despite owing Nat W or any of the group nothing they said No to her. Thier loss really because she won just over £90k on the lottery 3 weeks later! I now have a full cheque account with Barclays and she is also with them with a guarantee that she will have a full account in 6 months time. They are risking nothing though cause she has no debts and still has over £75k in her account.
