Hi all, I have for some time now been considering BR but I've also looked into IVA and don't feel that this is an option. I owe just over £21,000, main debt being to barclays bank. I have been paying my creditors just £1 a month.

I have 1 CCJ and am wondering whether this gets wiped off after BR, anyone have any info on this?

The CCJ will remain on your credit history, but take some solice in knowing it doesn't stay on as long as the bankruptcy does. Make sure the creditor who is given you the CCJ is listed as a creditor on your bankruptcy petition. Also, after your bakruptcy has been approved, send that creditor a photocopy of your bankruptcy paperwork. If not they will still chase you until they hear from the official receiver.

I am not a bankruptcy professional. Please contact CCCS, CAB and National Debtline for professional advice about bankruptcy.

All I have left is my sense of humour.

DD is right in that it will remain on record and also on the Register of County Court Judgements.

However once in Bankruptcy it becomes largely irrelevant as the debt cannot be pursued.
