I am about to go BR and one of my creditors is MBNA Credit Crad (formerly Alliance & Leicester).

After taking advice and checking things out, I have set up a Co-op Cashminder account in readiness for the BR. To my horror, I noticed today that the paying in slips on the MBNA monthly statements state "The Co-operative Bank".??

Does anyone know where we stand on this - is the Co-op Bank connected in any way with any other institutions such that my arrangements are going to go very pear-shaped and very quickly?

The Co-op are the clearing bank for MBNA and aren't connected in any other way so you'll be fine.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 - it's over at last!
