i have separated from my husband who lives with our children in france in a house we own there, I have been back in the uk for over 18 months but lost my job almost 9 months ago I have been advised that bancruptcy is my best option as I have around 50k of debt but will it affect the property we have abroad? it has a mortgage on it which my husband pays but i am concerned that my children will lose their home
we have had the property on the market to sell for 2 years with no luck there is maybe some equity in the property but not a lot once the mortgage is paid
will bankruptcy affect property abroad?
