As long as it was included in your statement of affairs, when you became bankrupt, then it will no longer be able to be pursued by the creditor, unless you had property and a charge was put on it. Up until the 23rd July I was an insolvency examiner with the insolvency service!

I was under the impression that all unsecured debts....disclosed or not..... would be cleared by BR.

All unsecured debts do get included in bankruptcy, however, lately some creditors have been obtaining charging orders on peoples property(called an interim charging order), and then a final charging order which effectively makes it a secured debt.

However,if the interim charging order is not made final on bankruptcy, then the interim charge will be dismissed by the court, and revert to an unsecured debt.

Hope this helps
