I have a house in negative equity, with an ex partner, also we share a joint loan for 23k. If i were to declare bankruptcy, would it wipe the house shortfall too?

Hi Nicola,
if you were to declare yourself bankrupt, then that creditor would then pursue your ex partner for it as it is a joint loan.

As for the property, the only way the shortfall would be claimed in bankruptcy would be if it were repossessed(or you surrendered it voluntarily) and then sold producing a shortfall.
