A Debt Relief Order (DRO) may be better for you as your debts are below £15000. There is more information at http://debtrelieforder.org.uk/ as well as the list of agencies that can assist with getting the DRO set up.

The fee for a DRO is also a lot less than BR at less than £100.

Hi Dean

There is an alternative called a Debt Relief Order which costs you £90 and if you fit the criteria, you will be eligible.

Basically you have to have debts under £15,000, own a vehicle but no other assets and have less than £50 disposable income left at the end of the month once your bills have been paid. If I were you, as you have access to the internet, I would suggest looking up DRO's on the web. There are also plenty of people who can help you on this website.

All the best.

Your vehicle has to be worth less than £1000 I think. You cannot be a homeowner. Visit the link posted by gettingoutofdebt, you can get all the information you need from there.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.
