Hello

Although I'm a first time poster, I have read this forum every night whilst going through my BR. I'm now 6months into it and all my many questions have previosuly been answered by read previous post on this forum. Basically Im not subject to an IPO although I'm paying my Tax to Moonbeaver at present.

I had a mobile phone contract before BR at £25.00 per month, My contract was due up last week and to keep the same Minutes and Texts the contract is now £30.00 per month over 24months. I agreed to this not thinking that this was a form of credit and I didn't inform my mobile provider that I am currently BR. I have now gone over the £500 credit limit by £220 over the lenght of the contract.

I am basically wondering if annyone can help me with the following:-

1) Do I need to do anything now? (Inform OR or my mobile provider)
2) In all seriousness if this is going to affect me in anyway by going against me during my BR or committing some sort of criminal offence?

Please help!!

Thank you all

1) You should really inform the mobile firm if you have taken over £500 credit. They will probably allow you to keep the contact especially if you have kept up to date with your previous payments but you do have a duty to inform them.

2) It's highly unlikely to affect your BR especially as you didn't realise you had taken over £500 credit.

The easiest option is probably to write (recorded delivery) or email the mobile company so you have proof that you did inform them you were BR. That way if anything does come up about this you are in the clear and have proof that you have informed the mobile company.
