I went bankrupt 4 years ago, and a couple of weeks ago an old dept from 17 years ago has surfaced, do i need to pay this or can i use my bankruptcy against it, they just will not give up on the phone, will not leave me alone
Depending on what the debt is for there is a possibility it is statute barred. As far as I'm aware if a creditor hasn't contacted you for 6 years (12 in the case of a mortgage) the debt cannot be enforced.
