our son had money saved to purchase a vehicle, we needed money to pay on bills so he decided to buy his dad's truck instead of something else. we were able to use the money to get caught up on finances. We are getting ready to meet w/a lawyer for a bankruptcy. my son hasn't transfered the title into his name yet, does this need to be done before we file? We have a bill of sale and we can show what we did with the money. will this be acceptable to the courts?

Provided you have the bill of sale then the OR will see your son as the owner of the truck even though the title isn't in his name.

Unless you have a very complicated business bankruptcy there shouldn't be any need to see a lawyer for the BR.
