Will I be asked how I came in to debt initially, or can this be avoided?

Hi Theo,

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, you will need to pop on your statement of affairs what you spent the money on and also you will need to write a paragraph or so about how you got into debt, eg, redundancy, illness, gambling etc.

You will also be asked this at your Official Receiver meeting. Just be open and honest and I'm sure you will have nothing to worry about.

Make sure you take advice about your situation.
