Hi there, Could I ask your advice on the following point. I went BR in October 2010, was told at my interview that I would not have to pay an IPA but would get a nil tax code. Heard nothing until today when an IPA arrived, which is fine but my query is that on the IPA it states that this agreement does not end when my BR ends. Is this correct? not sure if I've been sent the right form, should it be an IPA just for collection of tax.
Thank you

The NT IPA is only for the current tax year so should end in Apr 2011. The IPA where you pay a certain percentage of your wages lasts for 36 months. Is there a date on the form saying when the IPA will end?

Thank you for your speedy reply. No there isn't a date mentioned on the IPA.

the paragraph you are looking at is just a standard one. if it just says that the payment is as a result of the change in yur tax code then it is the right one

Hi I have re-read the form and the wording is as follows- "I acknowledge that my obligation to make payments under this agreement does not end when I am discharged from bankruptcy and that failure to make payments can affect the date upon which I am discharged" The other thing that concerns me is their calculations they calculate that I should pay £216 per month as the NT payment, yet I have calculated all the tax I have paid in the last 3 months and it only adds up to £110 they have got all their sum wrong. Do you think I should send all my pay slips and get them to re-calculate. Thanks
