 NT code. I have to repay as they say I have underpaid ?		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

Hi,
I was bankrupt in Dec 2008 and discharged one year later. I got a NT code for March 2009 and that was it. I yesterday got a tax form telling me I had underpaid by £1835. £420 underpayment (this equates to the March NT code) and a £1415 repayment. I queried this and they said it was payment to the OR for the months I was bankrupt. So now I have to repay as they say I have underpaid. This will be taken 2011/2012 period. Is this right?

I found the thread after I asked!!

Yes I called them they told me it was correct and I have underpaid and I must repay and they were sending a breakdown!

I have not been able to get through since I read the other thread last night. Tried 4 times on hold over 20 mins each time argh!!!
