my husband went bankrupt in december 2009 and is now a discharged bankrupt we are in the middle of completing his tax return for 2009-2010 as he is self employed. our accountant says he will not have to pay what he owes as he declared bankruptcy in that financial year, i just wanted to check whether this is correct. many thanks

upto court date included in bankruptcy.

after court date still to pay

How would you know how much tax was due for Dec - March as the figures are for the whole year, also what would happen if you were due a refund would you be able to keep any money due after the BR date? Again how would you be able to tell if it was pre or post BR
