OK I am taking the bull by the horns and decided that BR is the better option for me compared to an IVA, I just want to ask as a single person the allowances for Clothes, Hairdressing, Car maintenance what sort of figures should I look at putting for a single person. Also I noticed that some people have even put a holiday expenditure. I have been working on IVA figures for the past month or so and I gather BR is different.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Gosh who would have though going bankrupt would lift a huge weight off my shoulders, now I may be able to sleep at night.

Hi sueann - I know what you mean - once the decision is made you can start to see light at the end of the tunnel.
On my SOA I listed:
£50 - phone (land and mobile)
£75 - travel costs
£30 - car MOT/tax and maintenance
£30 - car insurance
£50 - clothing
£10 - opticians
£5 - dentist
£7 - prescriptions
£20 - holiday
£10 - hair

These were all my personal expenses each month and my OR said they were all reasonable.
Obviously you need to list your own expenses to reflect what you spend but thought this might help you.

Hi Sueann,

The best thing is to tell the truth. The worst case scenario is that the OR will say "too much" and reduce it a bit, but it will still be far more reasonable than in an IVA.
