Hi i have just finished having an hour nad a half of interveiw. My examiner was very polite over the phone.Throughly went through the SOA.Wanted to know how I incured my debt and when. He will come back to me with regard to a car I have sold last year for 700 pound , and needed a copy of the logbook for our family car owned by my wife. Also as gambling has been a past issue for me ,he wanted to know the exact amount i have lost in gambling 2 years ago.I did not know and asked for time to go home and look through my papaers if I can find something. I asked him about my attachment of earnings -said will be posponded during my bankrupcy and my debt written off.but when I asked him could then my creditor after the bankrupcy ends ,continue to take me to courts and sue me.His answer was a bit vague,he said your debt is written off,but itis up to them to do what they want, and advised me to seek advice from a solicitor if I need to know more-what do you think about that guys?. At the end he said a report will be send to the creditors in 8 wks time. I would say a very positive experience ,the little man inside my head was shputing something diffrent. Abd

Hi abd - glad it's over and done with.
As far as the attachment of earnings thing goes - I thought the whole idea of BR was to write off your debts. They can't unwrite them after your BR surely, otherwise there would be creditors pouncing on people at their discharge date. Hope I am right!
Well done for asking for time about the gambling info - its easy to be rushed into an answer.
It's fresh start time abd! Time to plan a debt free future!

Hi Vicki thanks, just a minute ago the examiner came back to me on the phone, verifying what you've already said. debt will be written off, no more problem with creditors, fresh start, he also said the car I sold for £700 a year ago is fine.He did not talk about BRO/BRu jet, will these be dealt with later? |

Good news abd! I am sure he would have hinted at a BRU/BRO if he thought you would get one. They know what questions they are asking before they call so they must have an idea of the outcome. Did you think you might get one because of gambling thing?

Hi yes Iam afraid my hx of gambling 2 yrs ago could be a reason for a BRO.He did not mentioned during the interview, but will call me tomorrow to get an idea about the possible amount of money I could have lost in gambling .He gave me an accurate amount of how much I will be paying as BR for the coming 3 yrs ,but no mentioning to discharge dates or BRO. It will not be his decision whether to pursue a BRU or BRO but taken at a much higher level once their investigations are complete. Don't worry about this, in reality the effect on you will be minimal as there are pretty toothless to be frank.
