Hi all

I am new to the site, so hi all firstly. And thanks in advance for any advise anyone is able to offer.

Both my partner and myself and going to be declaring bankruptcy sortly, my partner first and it his case i wanted some advice on.

He is normally self employed but currently not working but will be again in a few weeks. He owes over 10k to the tax man and is two years behind with his book work, which he needs to get down before he files.

First question as we don't have any spare money as he is not working does anyone know of any charitable accountants we can go to to get this book work done?

Also i have been told that you can now file for bankruptcy online, does anyone know the website address as i was told the forms where less confusing online and guide you through it, unfortnately i can't get hold of the person who told me this.

I'm sure we have more questions but they are the most pressing ones at the moment.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome,

Unfortunately the Insolvency Service stopped the online service for the bankruptcy forms, you can, however download the forms from the Insolvency Service website or request them from the court.

I can't answer your question on the charitable accountant, but I do suggest you take some advice either from the CAB or from one of the experts on here.

Hopefully someone else maybe able to answer on the accountant, we went to the CAB and the guy we saw knew less than i did about the whole process.

I mean i don't know alot but he was just reading off a screen and didn't really have a clue.

Thanks again

Although you cannot now apply on line for bankruptcy you can download and print off the necessary forms off the following site.
