when do I file for BR?
Today was the last day of trading for me. I am in arrears on the rent on my business premises and I have been funding the rent and service charge from personal savings and now I am overdrawn and maxed on my credit card. My husband took out a loan and then lent the business the money. I cannot keep putting money into this bottomless pit so I have decided to stop today and will tell the landlord on Monday.

At this moment I still owe rent arrears of £1500. the landlord has a rent deposit of £2375. It is my hope that he will keep this deposit and let me walk away unscathed but in reality I am sure he will come after me for the 16 months rent left on the terms of the lease.

Potentially I could be over £16k in debt. Do I have to wait for him to give me an actual figure before I apply for BR? I really am so scared he will just go to the courts and send the bailiffs to me straight away and I don't want to livYe my life looking over my shoulder and being scared all the time.
i don't own my own home, i have no savings, i have a car which has a broken gearbox at the moment but it will £900 to fix. If I fix it, it will be woth over £2500. I don't want to give it up but don't know which is the best thing to do.
My business is as a therapist/health professional. I could find work or carry on working if I go mobile but for that I need a car.

Please can you tell me the best thing to do?
And how much it would cost for someone to help me with this whole thing?
