It's looking likely that within the next year or so our office will be closed down which is causing concern, I have been with the company just coming upto 9 years so I want to hold out for redundancy. I just wondered what would happen if I was made redundant during the BR period with regards to redundancy pay I might get, also what would happen with the pay when discharged and in the IPA period should I have one.

Can anyone advise on this.

Your redundancy money is paid to you as compensation for loss of office and should be used to replace your lost wages. If you get a new job before the money has been absorbed, then the balance would need to be paid over to the OR if it was received prior to your discharge.
