Hi All,
I was declared bankrupt in septempber after some advice from Melanie N who was most helpful.
An ipa of £58 was agreed with the OR as i am residing in a caravan.
It was classed as an asset and the OR sent an independant valuer to see it. (the caravan park valued it at 4000 less site fees of 2500 and other costs leaving around 600 value) and i think they wanted a 2nd opinion. I havent heard anything at all since, not have i been put on a nt tax code.
Im really worried every day as i cant afford anything else at all. (site fees of 240 a month much cheaper than local rent)
Is anybody able to offer a likely outcome in thier professional opinion please?
many thanks in advance

Hi there

two ways for you to play this one:

the OR's valuation came out at a similar figure and as such they are not too concerned and not going to do anything about it OR

you could contact the OR concerned and ask them what is happening

It all depends on what the valuation came out at, as to what their action will be, either sit tight and await their response, or give them a ring if the suspensse is getting too much!

Sorry not been able to be of further help on this one

Melanie

Hi Mel,
Many thanks for your reply and lovely to hear from you again :-)
i will be forever in your debt for giving me the confidence to go ahead with it :-)
I just thought i may have heard something by now :-(
I dont understand why i didnt receive a nt tax code as im still having to send my payslips off everymonth to prove it hasnt been implemented to moon beever.
Im assuming my creditors werent happy with the parks valuation and thats why an independent valuer came.
I would just love to hear some progress.
Thanks again for your help

I was, and always will be only too happy to help

Not all go on the BR tax coding, so don't worry onthat score

with regard to the valuation, the fact that the OR had an agent carry out a valuation of an asset is completely standard practice

I do think you are perhaps worrying a little too much, but that is easy for me to say so please don't take offence, if it all gets too much ring the OR and ask for an update

Have a good weekend, Melanie
