I am in a situation were I am now divorced, but the ex-marital house cannot reach the price required to clear the joint debt, (est.£15k). However, I cannot afford the Court Fee to declare myself bankrupt, as I am 61, and on Pension Credit. Any advice please? Peter

Hi Peter and welcome to the forum.

You may be able to get a reduction on part of the fee depending upon the benefits. Other than that I have no idea, sorry.
