If in the future I am asked this question after dicharge, have bankrupcy proceedings ever been issued aainst you and if so when? what do I actually answer? By the way I petitioned my own BR in 2009 and was discharged last year.

If asked if you were ever declared BR, then you would say yes, and if asked when, then it's the date of your bankruptcy order.

Hi Charlie44

You would have to answer yes to the question as the bankruptcy will show on your credit file for six years from the date of discharge and people could find out.
