Hi Everyone

Had my interview this afternoon, lasted approx. 20 mins. It went ok, but i feel i didn't express the reason for my debt problems very well (nerves i think). Especially the fact that i am leaving my house to rent a house (effectively leaving my house to be repossessed). It was made to sound that i didn't care about some of the debt not being covered by the equity, whereas really the mortgage and secured debt is too high too allow me spare capital to buy food etc.

I feel a bit bad about this. Is it worth ringing the OR and offering a better explanation, or leave it well alone as there was no mention of BRU or IPA?

Hi Andrew.h,

The chances are that your interview was by a B3 examiner who was probably more nervous than you. You haven't done anything the OR hasn't seen time and time again. I wouldn't worry, just put it behind you and enjoy your fresh start.

Hi Andrew , well done .my interview was for an hour and half(imagine the nerviousness) and believe i had similar feelings of not being perfect in explaining things, in fact after an hour you feel like you have forgotten your name and previous adress.Do not worry, itis over now.

Cheers Guys

just concerned that the interview did not cover hardly anything on the SOA apart from me offering an explanation on a couple of debts. I was expecting to be grilled on my monthly expenditure etc...

i was asked about my car and whether i needed it for work (i travel 50miles per day), but apart from that...not a lot.

It was a strange experience as my interview was supposed to have been last Monday. I did not receive a phone call and ended up phoning them instead, and they couldn't do the interview as the court had not forwarded the SOA. We arranged for the interview to be done today, but after they didn't call, i rang them again and it appears the OR did not put in in his diary and therefore forgot. Whole things appears a bit sloppy to me.

Hoping that i'm not surprised later by a letter wanted an IPA. Is it a possibility? and how likely?

If you have remembered other things which slipped your mind during the interview, and you feel that these may have some relevance for your case, you ought to bring them to the attention of the OR.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
