my husband was made bankrupt 23rd July 2011, he had meeting with OR which lasted 1 hr 15 mins. Received two letters one saying he could keep his old van and another asking for proof that our house was repossessed and had received nothing. We sent this back to them and have not yet heard if we have an IPA. Have you any idea how long they usually take to make this decision.

Hiya Pattie x
I think that you have made a mistake with the date - we haven't reached 23rd July 2011 yet. If you do mean 23rd July 2010, your husband's bankruptcy will be coming to an end under the automatic discharge rules so it is highly unlikely that he will get an IPA. However if you mean a totally different date, then we can advise.
Kind regards

Hi pattie x. Just to let you know that we declared BR in November 2010 & have, so far, had no information re' a possible IPA from the OR. You may have to grit your teeth & just wait. I know that we are NOT going to contact the OR & ask!!! Hopefully we will now just receive a final income & expenditure form prior to AD. Fingers crossed. Good Luck with your BR journey.

Hi Pattie x
That date makes more sense and, as Glafy ponits out, you do not want to rock the boat with the OR.
What makes you think that you may get an IPA? One would only be set up if you had disposable income over £20 per month or one may come into force if you were working and paying tax which could be claimed by the Insolvency Service.
Kind regards.

Hiya,
I too am waiting to hear if I have an ipa.
Three months ago they said they would write to me to suggest how much I should pay even though I have something like 60p spare a month. (to be honest, I have less than that as I have had to cut so much out). I'd love to know where they think I should make cuts! I've had to cut loads just to be able to live within my means rather than relying on credit cards.
I have heard nothing but sure as hell don't want to ask them about it!
I am also still waiting for them to get back to me following my appeal against one of their decisions as I thought they were being especially harsh and cruel. I have been waiting a month for this.
I hate not knowing what's happening. I just want to know their response and where they think I can cut money so I can at least argue with them about it.
Sorry for hijacking the thread but I just wanted to say that I too am waiting and its just painful.
Thanks Charlotte
Ps Which office are you waiting to hear from pattie?
Finally got head out of sand in October 2010 BR March 2011
