Hello Again,

Oh god another set of problems have arisen. I have lived in my privately rented house since April 2004. Rent always paid on the first of the month and to date this has never been late. I was made redundant on 4th Jan and have claimed housing benefit.
I thought I had a good relationship with my landlord?? He asked me to pursue a home heating cold buster grant for a new boiler etc as he said whilst I was on benefits I could get this done free?
It transpires that a charge will be made against his property for the installation.
So no new boiler for me.
I have asked him for a new tenancy agreement as the last one expired on april 2005 as I know I am going to need this to show OR. He cant see why I need a new one?
1) New job starts on 20th July and I will be still reliant on housing benefit but am likely to get a nil tax code as in my new job I will pay tax. How will that affect my housing benefit as I know they will take your payslip as what you earn?
2)Internet access is not allowed on SOA so I don't get how all you folk that are BR have managed to still stay on line as I am going to need your support

Thanks again for any replies

Hi Darkday,

Your housing benefit will not be affected by the bankruptcy.

You can put internet down on your SOA.

Thank you. I was really worried that a nil tax code would mean that I had a greater take home pay which would in turn effect my housing benefit x
