Hi guys

After your discharged from bankcrupty Would you then be classed As a first time buyer again or not for a mortgage? (I was discharged 5 years ago)

I wouldn't have thought so - I thought you were only a first time buyer the first time you have a mortgage.

One mortgage advisor said he had never dealt with this before but he said if my credit file had been wiped I should then be classed as a first time buyer as I don't have a history anymore

I'm inclined to agree with Tracey - you're not a first time buyer even if you haven't had a mortgage in years.
