Hi,
Couple of quick questions for you all;
I went bankrupt on the 5th April this year, and I went out of the country on the 16th April. I made the OR aware of this, and they knew how to contact me and had an address etc.
While I was away, i received two letters, one telling me that the did not intend to take my car, and secondly telling me that they had all the info they needed for now.
Since returning to the UK, I have had mail forwarded from my old address from creditors still (dated last week) chasing money, they clearly haven't been told I'm bankrupt from the OR yet.
Is this normal? My financial situation is still the same in that I have no job, so I wasnt going go call the OR until I did, but as I now haven't heard anything since April, should I ring them |

You can phone them and tell them that you are BR and give them the date and the details and tell them that they cannot contact you anymore.
I'd also let the OR know that creditors are still contacting you.

When I had creditors contacting me I sent them a copy of the BR order and that seemed to do the trick.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |
