| Hi, can anyone suggest what I should do now, am living in furnished rented accom, no assets apart from microwave, garden bench and bbq. debt collectors have been calling and want 100pounds per week off me to pay off debt - debt accumulated over period of time since split with hubby and brought up kids on my own, he didn;t contribute as he got new relationship and spent his money on them.i have tried university to try and help me get a job, but probably failed due to stress of debt and don;t know what to do next. |

Hi and welcome.
Firstly, you don't have to speak to debt collectors if you don't want to and you certainly don't have to pay them any money.
How much debt do you have in total?

I wouldn't even entertain the debt collectors. They have absolutely no legal powers and if you wish you are at liberty to ask them to leave.
That having been said, it does look as if you need some debt help and advise so that you can start doing something positive about the debt situation. There will be a solution but, in order to help, the forum needs a bit more information.

Ignore debt collectors, they are not bailiffs.
I suggest you contact one of the experts to chat through your options. There will be a solution.
