Hi,
I had an early discharge from BR September last year. Surprisingly, a year later I received a call from Red Castle Recoveries yesterday. They were quite assertive in their manner. I bluntly said I don't know who they were and refused to answerthe intial security questions. They went on to say that I am in serious trouble and should talk to them.
Last year I had no end of trouble with them and I reported them to my OR, which put a stop to the endless calls.
Can they still hassle me like this?
Although it is a hard road to go, BR was my life line. For the first time in 20 years I owe nobody any money and have even manged to save some money, which is a first!
I am now worried that these ghost are returning to haunt me, and take what disposable income I have.
Now that I am discharged, am I on my own or can I still contacted the OR?

The difference now is that prior to your bankruptcy this outfit could enforce their actions now they can enforce nothing you can enjoy telling them that, you have already told them about your bankruptcy they seem to ignore that, now you are discharged you owe them nothing, to say you are in serious trouble I would ask the caller if they are just plain stupid. |

As has been advised by Daniel, you cannot be touched by these idiots...
If they persist, inform the OR and they may run a blast across their bows.
Tell them they are flouting the law and that should shut them up
From the day that you are declared BR, your unsecured debts are (generally) satisfied and a creditor must accept the due process
Good luck and start to move on post BR

Thanks for the reassurance!
Richard, good to see you are still on here. It's thanks to you I am where I am today. You guided us through a tough time, and made the whole process run smooth.
My wife and daughter are doing well, and I am on the road to recovery. We also have another one on the way! Maria is 15 weeks.
Got a letter from Red Castle today following up on their phone call. From the amount they want I think this is the loan which was secured on my property. We handed back the keys over a year ago and the house was reposessed and sold. It all seems so long ago, I can't beleive they have started this back up again.
I will contact the OR on Monday and hopefuly she will still support us.

Just to get my sixpence worth in this conversation, It does not matter whether Redcastle is chasing a secured debt. The property in question was sold and there is a shortfall to Redcastle. Therefore their debt becomes unsecured - as no security now exists and will have been written off in your bankruptcy.
