Hi,

Can anyone advise please: Does my bankruptcy status impinge upon any possible Student Finance application?

Ta,

Sid

Hi Sid,

Have no idea about this, hopefully one of the experts can help or you could always make an anonymous call to them to see.

whilst during your year of bankruptcy you cannot take out credit for more than £500 without informing the person loaning you the money that you are BR.

At the end of your bankruptcy if you can find someone to lend you the money it is not an issue but they will no doubt undertake a credit search of you and your credit history would come to light.

So if they are lending you the money they would want to make certain you could pay it back.

incidentally official student loans do not normally get included in Bankruptcy.

think you would do best to ring the NUS or student loans finance people and get answer direct

Good Luck Richard,
