I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but in england, if you include utility arrears fom current providers, they may want to put a meter in.

Hi there Viki.W.

Sorry for the lack of info- topic was started by a phone agent I spoke to this morning. I'm in Scotland- so sequestration- and owe around £900 in utils, which I'm gradually clearing but the payments are relatively unsustainable- and may not be able to renegotiate a further repayment deal with current providers Scottish & Southern.

Have previously tried switching but unsurprisingly S&S blocked it. Have also spoken directly to a couple of competitors about post sequestration provision and not received a conclusive response. A meter is not an option.

I'd give one of the experts a ring to get some free advice. The laws in Scotland are different to those in England.

Sorry- should have added that the utils arrears are a small part of the overall situation, in case it seems too trivial to respond. Overall debts are £30k. Any help or experience would be gratefully received.

I only deal with England and Wales for bankruptcy so can't help unfortunately, but hopefully one of the other experts will.

Hi there

if you would like to contact me direct via the experts tab on the left hand side I can assist you with sequestration advice - as this site is purely ofr bankruptcy adivce for England & Wales, but i do cover Scotland and the Scottish legislation, which is different and would be happy to help Melanie
