Hi. Thanks for all the help, though now, I have another question.
I'm having a problem answering the questions on page 21 section 7 ‘Outgoings’ form 6.28. I have been told that as I have no income, no benefits, no savings, zilch, that I should answer ‘O’ to all questions. But: I have now been told that I must show my outgoings (house hold?) etc. I’m a little confused to say the least as I don’t/can’t contribute to anything. Our rent is £795 p/m but my wife gets housing benefit so do I put £795 or the amount she actually pays which is £295.00? My wife also receives Council Tax Benefit and so pays £32.00 p/m instead of £138.00. Which do I put down?

Thanks to you all.

Just explain exactly what is received into the household - and with regard to your outgoings, what is paid out with a note in the box towards the bottom of the page enter 'housing benefit received £'
when you have your telephone chat with the OR you can explain fully what comes in and what goes out.
I appreciate that the forms can be quite complicated, just try to provide the OR an explanation of your circumstances, that is all that is required

Hope this helps, Melanie
