If your bank account it not linked to anyof your creditors (Ie you do not have and overdraft or creditor card or loan linked to that bank) you would probably be able to continue to use that account. if however, the bank account is linked to your creditors, I would advise you to open a new basic account with an alternative bank before filing for bankruptcy, and that way you would still have a debt card to use

It depends on who you bank with. HSBC and First Direct will definitely close the account but other banks, providing they aren't a creditor, may allow you to keep the account.
Lloyds allowed me to keep a full account, but when I needed a new card they would only give me a cash card that could be used in one of their machines.
