Hi all, happy new year :)

I have a question which might seem silly to you.

I got a little bit of money for Xmas (£60), and have sold some old things recently (ancient tv), old car stereo and need to sell some more bits - trainers, 1st gen iPod nano (for something silly like £20). Will the or be cross if I save all this money to buy something like a camera? Photography is my hobby and my old one is broken.

Pls don't lecture me about giving all the money to the or like my dear brother suggested!

Thanks all and have an amazing 2012 xxx

Hi Essie and happy new year to you as well.

It's not a problem to save the money for a camera - the Christmas money is a gift and you are selling your own things for the rest.

Good luck with the camera!

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.

Happy New Year from me as well.

Enjoy spending your money and I hope you get a nice camera.

The OR won't be interested at all.

Don't feel guilty. I was given money for Christmas and birthdays when I was BR and I know my mum wouldn't have given me money if it had to be paid into my IPA. Regarding the selling, you're not selling as a business so there really isn't a problem x

Agree with Tracey - don't feel guilty at all. I'm not BR but do sell stuff on Ebay but it's all personal stuff and I don't inform my IP at all.
