Hello there
your Local Authority tenancy would not be affected by your petitioning for bankruptcy.
The Official Receiver will write as a matter of course to your landlord, purely to establish whether or not there are any rent arrears. This will not affect your tenancy in any way, but the Official Receiver has to do this action onthe making of a bankruptcy order.
