I have sky but have a contract what happens as can't afford to pay it and am going bankrupt? |

Hi there,
I had a virgin media contract before, during and after bankruptcy without any problems. Mind you I didn't divulge my bankruptcy with them but just continued to pay the monthly direct debits as usual. I'm sure as long as you pay the monthly payments, they are not going to put obstacles in your way. If on the other hand, you don't want to continue with the contact because you cannot afford it any longer, then I'm sure you can cancel it, however depending on the contract, they may charge an early termination charge. It wouldn't surprise me as most do this now if you cancel before the end of the agreed contract date. As Viki has already mentioned, if you cannot afford to pay and you owe them money, then you can always add them to the bankruptcy as a creditor. However, this may jeopardise your chances of ever using them in the future.
