I split with my husband in 2006 and remained in our house which was in joint names, the house was sold in 2009 and all the equity was signed over to me. I now have a sole mortgage, my husband has now filed for bankruptcy Nov 2011, will I have to pay back some of the eqity from the previous sale as it is less than five years? We are not divorced but not in contact.
