Hi i am 27 and find myself in nearly 25000 worth of debt with loans credit cards and 3 payday loand that i find myself in a vicious circle with i am now at the end of my tether and have nearly lost my family due to financial problems i was in a debt management plan but then it cost me over 600 to get my car through the mot which i needed for work so i am now miles behind with my dmp i am seeing bankruptcy as the only way to get some relief and my life back on track can i ask the posotives and negatives from bankruptcy and is it for me, i dont own my home just rent.
The best advice I can offer is for you to contact one of the experts on the site (see left hand side). From the information you have provided, it may well be that bankruptcy is your better option, but your whole circumstances/situation need to be taken into account to enable the right advice to be given.
If bankruptcy is your preferred option you will need to obtain a set of forms from your local county court (or download form the insolvency service website)
If your are working the bankruptcy fee will be £700, if you are not working then perhaps a visit to your local citizens advice bureau ay help as they can help with the forms and bankruptcy fee advice re possible reductions in the fee payable etc
Hope this helps, Melanie
