My husband is unemployed and not in any receipt of benefits because he receives a police pension. He has an IVA of £77,000 with a monthly payment of some £800. We have no cash at all only an overdraft. How much will we have to pay to go bankrupt

Hi and welcome.

Speak to your ip initially to see if they can help you by lowering the payments. If not then you will have to let the iva fail by missing three payments.

To go bankrupt costs £700 per person.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe

Hi,

As Jan has said, your husband needs to speak to his IP if his circumstances have changed or if you are struggling with your IVA, they may be able to lower the payments.

If you do decide on bankruptcy, we're all here for you so please keep posting.
