my partner was made bankrupt and i paid £5200 to my solicitors with a view to annuling the bankruptcy this never happenend 4 years have gone by trustee is now trying to sell our house am i entitled to the £5200 back due to it not been annulled
my partner was made bankrupt for council tax arrears we decided to try to annul the bankruptcy by paying official receiver costs and all other debts which came to 5200 ie council tax costs and a county court judgement. We did not however have enough to pay inland revenue bill of 1800.Inland revenue were happy to take a monthly installment but the or said all debts must be paid in full and then appointed trustee since then costs have risen to 27000 they have a warrant of execution to evict us house is worth 155000 max ive had 2 valuations there drive buy valueation is for 170000 we owe 144000 my question is because the bankruptcy was not annuledam i entitled to the 5200 backi can then hopefully try to buy back my partners share and stay in my house with my 10 and 6 yearoldkids
