does a UK personal bankruptcy prohibit the Bankrupt remaining a director of an American company or partnership in an American LLLP

It's only being a director of a UK company that would be affected.

However, I suggest you speak to an expert for further advice.

Just 1 caveat to that, it would also cover a foreign company IF that company traded in the UK
