I have paid the court fees over a week ago but have not been able to give my forms to the court. If I change my mind and no longer want to go bankrupt can I get a refund.

Hi Diane,

Can you post a few more details please, have you actually been declared bankrupt?

Hi Viki

I have not actually been declared bankrupt yet as I have not handed my petition. I paid my fees, spoke to an advisor from the CAB located at the court. I didnt manage to hand in the petition and this was over a week ago. Im worried because I used my rent money to pay for my fees and because I am already in arrears over 8 weeks my Landlord said he would seek possession.

Hi Diane,

I don't understand how the court could take your money without the paperwork. I would think that you can get a refund as nothing has been done.

This is very strange the Clerk should not have taken your fee until he/she accepted the paperwork, which court did you attend?
